Barillet is the new Wall Plates* from Non Sans Raison designed by artist and graphic designer Etienne Bardelli, aka Akroe. A creation that combines a mechanical graphic construction with the care and delicacy of Limoges porcelain. The architecture of gradient patterns is consciously fractured, creating a graphic combination under tension. This spherical and fragmented composition, made up of a constellation of fine geometric shapes with black lines of various sizes and spacings, creates a subtle play of light and shadow.
Etienne Bardelli, aka Akroe, is a French artist and graphic designer, born in 1977, who lives and works in Paris. His work revolves around production and industrial aesthetics, inspired by its mechanisms and illusions. He thus weaves links between the applied arts, in which he was trained, and a personal production of installation, painting and photography. His work has been the subject of exhibitions in France and abroad. He has recently produced monumental works during the Nuits Blanches in Metz, exhibited at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and collaborated with the Centre Pompidou Metz.
