WALL PLATES - THE GENESIS

Genesis is the new Wall Plates from Non Sans Raison designed by tattoo artist Jeykill, founding member of Bleu Noir. Inspired by the alchemy of the four elements that make up the world, a theme dear to the artist, Genesis speaks to us of our relationship to universality.

Thus water, air, fire and earth associated with the four elemental qualities (hot, cold, dry and humid) merge to better make us feel the balance of our planet. The duality between the warm and the dry represented by the color yellow on the one hand and the cold and the humid represented by the color blue on the other hand reinforces the dynamics of the elements that can be transformed in contact with each other.

Composed of a pyramidal shape reminiscent of the symbols of harmony and unity directed towards a semi-sphere shape, symbol of the sky, the Wall Plates Genesis, through the transcendent energy it reflects, converges towards infinity. The density of the drawing, on the border between abstract and illustrative art, and the precision of Jeykill's line invites us on a fabulous inner journey in a spiritual approach like a mandala, where geometric figures and symbols are exhibited in abundance.

Jeykill was born in the suburbs of Paris in 1974. After training as a graphic designer, he joined the 9ème Concept collective in 1997. On canvas or on the skin, his production is based on a mix of ethnic and urban styles. He is inspired by the ocean, the sky, and human nature. Alternately meticulous or spontaneous, he has created a complex universe with illustrations that are both graphic and abstract. In 2010, he opened with Veenom an atypical space dedicated to the art of tattooing Bleu Noir in Paris and in 2016 that of Biarritz.
